Our Organization

It’s a Non-Profit Humanitarian Organization, a juridical figure introduced by the Italian law Decree 460/97 for Non-Profit Organization that can guarantee transparency.

Yeshe Norbu Appello per il Tibet o.n.l.u.s. is a member of F.P.M.T. (Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition), a group of around 130 organizations engaged in thirty two nations whose purposes are the preservation of the ethical and social values of the Tibetans and the other Buddhist countries suffering invasions or cultural and religious repressions and a material and moral support to those people.

The association’s support is given through "distance adoptions" and community projects. The adoptions concern children, monks, elderly and sick people, all selected among the poorest.

The distance adoption can change somebody’s life, assuring them enough daily food, improvement in the hygienic conditions and in many cases also giving them the chance to study and so become a hope and support for their people.

This is why people who wants to adopt somebody, have to feel responsible and keep helping for a quite long time.

Besides, an important truth is that man doesn't live of bread only.
A community uprooted from its own homeland also needs to preserve its own cultural and spiritual identity and its upstanding ethical values, without these principles the same society is doomed to degenerate.

For this reason Yeshe Norbu Appello per il Tibet o.n.l.u.s. gives a small part of the raised money to community projects to support the tibetan culture.
