Tibetan children

How can you contribute?

The amount for a long distance adoption is 23,00 Euros a month, we will use it as follows:

€ 20,00 to the adopted person
€ 1,50 for community projects
€ 1,00 (that is not compulsory but certainly necessary) for office expenses (rent, telephone, accountant, computer, mail, stationery, etc.)
€ 0,50 for the emergency fund

All the people involved in our Organization are volunteers working for free.

All the money left after having paid the office expenses is added to the fund for the community projects.

If you cannot take the moral commitment and keep on the adoption for at least three years, you can make a free donation, also small amounts, and so indirectly sponsor a whole community.

All the donations made to Yeshe Norbu Appello per il Tibet o.n.l.u.s. are tax-deductible for Italian tax payers

All the raised money is periodically sent to India and Nepal, where it is consigned to people we trust and then given to the needy.

When someone from Yeshe Norbu staff visits the place (always to their own expenses) they verify how the activities go on.

To begin the adoption process, you need to pay the first adoption amount and send the Joining Form to our organization, specifying the person's type you want to help (a child, a monk or a nun, an elderly or a sick person , a disabled child) or other specific demands (age, particular family situations, etc.).

When we receive the payment and the form, we will immediately choose the most suitable person and will send you a sheet with his/her photo, name and address.

As soon as you receive the sheet, you can start writing to your adopted person and so ask for further details of his/her family or health, settling a direct relationship.

From the second payment on, it is very important that you don’t forget to specify also the reference number you find in the sheet and not only the name of the adopted person, because Tibetan names are often very similar one to each other.

After the adoption, the exchange of letters and photos between the adopted and adoptive person often develops in a deep personal relationship that is more than simply gratitude for the economical help you give.

Many have gone to India and Nepal because they wanted to meet their adoptive children and see themselves how Tibetan refugees live. Many from simple adoptive parents have become supporting members of the Organization and are now collaborating on our activities.
